Romeo and Juliet is a story of a timeless love and a love for all times. Two families, more alike than different, have been embroiled in an ancient and bitter feud, though most have forgotten why it began. The younger generation has never known life without this boiling hatred for the other. Yet Romeo Montague and Juliet Capulet are struck with a profound and searing passion and love for one another. Over the course of a few days, during the explosive heat of a Verona summer, they consummate their potent love. They fervently hope to quell the flames of their families’ prejudice and hatred. Shakespeare’s love story is constantly in motion with the universal elements of desire and revenge, loyalty and rebellion, courage and recklessness, and of lovers who truly cannot live without one another. This production will run approximately 90 minutes.
